The Burley Thorncombe 9404-C wood burning stove is designed to be one of the most efficient wood burning stoves in the world. With an impressive efficiency rating of 89.8% and a heat output of up to 5.3kW it's ideal of medium sized living spaces. Burley stoves are specialist wood burners and log burners. Therefore this series of stoves are wood burning only.
The Thorncombe model features a solid cast iron door with a wide stove glass viewing area that maximizes radiated heat and a hot convected air top exchanger that helps recover lost heat. Additionally, it is always recommended to room seal a stove, as the average chimney can drag warm air from a room to outside. The Burley range of stoves can be room sealed through an outside wall, effectively eliminating this heat loss.
